A Saratoga victory song

The upset win of Democrat Michele Madigan in the race for Saratoga Springs Finance Commissioner was not nearly as surprising as the late night singing of her campaign's fight song an hour after election night had ended.

A handful of Democratic supporters, including Madigan and Joanne Yepsen, one of the city's representatives on the County Board of Supervisors, came into Gaffney's in Saratoga Springs to celebrate their takeover of the City Council.

After a little bit of goading and a few more drinks, the excited crowd broke out into song before an almost empty bar, except for a handful of reporters. At the end of the song there is a not so subtle jab at the outgoing Finance Commissioner, Republican Ken Ivins, with the lyric, "I can count. Ken Ivins can't."
