Geiger, Fazzone doubles champs

Jim Geiger continued his recent hot streak, and Matt Fazzone picked up his first area major title as they combined to defeat Mike Miseno and Tim Banta, 459-386, in the championship match of the inaugural “Uncle Nick” Doubles tournament late Sunday at Sportsman’s Bowl.

Geiger recently won $2,000 in a Huck Finn event at Towne Bowling Academy.

The winners split $1,800, while the runners-up earned $900. There were 52 total entries.
