Kent new PBA Hall of Famer

Popular Doug Kent of Newark and 12-time PBA tournament winner Danny Wiseman have been elected to the PBA Hall of Fame.

Kent, 45, has 10 titles overall, including four majors. He won the 2002-03 Empire State Open here in the Capital Region and is the brother in law of Hall of Famer Parker Bohn. Kent has more than $1.5 million in earnings and was voted among the 50 greatest players in PBA history during the organization's 50th anniversary celebration in 2009.

Wiseman, also 45, was also ranked among the 50 greatest players in PBA history and also has one major, the 2004 USBC Miller High Life Masters.

Induction ceremonies are set for March 30 in Indianapolis.
