Maria nursing program advances
Maria College announced today that it has earned advanced accreditation for one of its nursing programs.
The Albany nonprofit institution received accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission for its RN Baccalaureate Completion Program, which educates nurses for a variety of health care settings.
“This is a gigantic milestone for Maria College, and one that signifies national confirmation of our excellent educational program,” said college President Dr. Lea Johnson in a news release. “This is truly our time to shine.”
NLNAC’s board of commissioners granted accreditation based on a self-study report, the college catalog, a site visitors’ report, a recommendation by program evaluators and an evaluation review panel.
In addition to its RN Completion Program, Maria College offers associate degree programs and professional certificate programs.
