A new business for Jay Street

County officials gathered at 34 Jay St. this morning to cut the ribbon on a new web design business in the heart of downtown Schenectady.

Start-up business 100 Creations, LLC celebrated its grand opening today on Jay Street, half a block from City Hall and next to the post office. Its mission is to design business, corporate and personal websites that meet the latest standards, as well as provide services in proprietary search engine optimization tools, domain resale, hosting, business consulting, advertising and marketing, to name a few.

The company's CEO and president Angel Castro graduated from the University at Albany with a bachelor's degree in actuarial science. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Chamber of Schenectady County, which held the ribbon cutting.

100 Creations, LLC began in December 2012, according to its Facebook page.
