More turnover at Trans World Entertainment

Trans World Entertainment Corporation is undergoing yet another change in leadership, this time with the departure of president and chief operating officer Mike Honeyman.

The Albany-based company, which owns 376 F.Y.E. stores across the nation, announced today in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that Honeyman and the company had "mutually agreed to separate."

Honeyman officially left the company Tuesday, and entered into a separation agreement that includes severance benefits and confidentiality, non-solicitation and non-disparagement covenants. He had served in that position since May 2010. Prior to his tenure with Trans World, Honeyman spent several years as president and COO at the now-defunct Bernie's TV and Appliances and several years as COO of Massachusetts-based Christmas Tree Shops.

Trans World also recently made John Anderson's temporary role as acting CFO a permanent gig Feb. 3. The 43-year-old has been at the company for more than 18 years and will now oversee Trans World’s financial planning and financial reporting divisions.
