Trustco declares quarterly dividend

TrustCo Bank Corp NY has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.065625 per share, according to a filing made today with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The holding company for Glenville-based Trustco Bank has paid a cash dividend every year since 1904. The cash dividend, which amounts to $0.2625 per year, will be made payable April 1 to shareholders of record at the end of the business day March 1.

“We are very pleased to continue to provide our shareholders with a strong cash dividend," said president and CEO Robert McCormick in a news release. "We understand how important the TrustCo cash dividend is to our shareholders. Our cash dividend continues a tradition that extends back over 100 years. We recently reported a strong performance for 2012 and hope to build off of that success during 2013.”

Trustco Bank, which operates 138 offices in New York, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Vermont, announced last month that it ended the year with $37.5 million in net income, up 13.4 percent from $33.1 million in 2011.
