CDPHP's health plans have been ranked No. 1 in the state by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, a nonprofit organization that accredits and certifies health care organizations across the nation.

The organization recently released its 2013-2014 Health Insurance Plan Rankings, and all four CDPHP commercial health plans, as well as CDPHP's Medicare Choices HMO and CDPHP's Select Plan (Medicaid) were ranked the best in the state.

“The NCQA rankings are a testament to our dedication to quality,” said CDPHP President and CEO John Bennett in a news release issued Thursday. “We are proud of our outstanding, local customer service and our innovative products and services, which support our mission of providing better health and better care at lower costs. This commitment is a large factor in our unprecedented membership growth.”

On its list of private health insurance plan rankings, CDPHP ranked first in the state for the following commercial products: CDPHN (HMO/POS) (No. 18 nationally); CDPHP (HMO) (No. 19 nationally); CDPHN (PPO) (No. 26 nationally); and CDPHP UBI (PPO) (No. 26 nationally).

CDPHP also ranked first for its Medicare Choices HMO and its Select Plan (Medicaid), both of which came in ninth place nationwide.
