Gentle yoga, belly dance among offerings of new yoga studio

A yoga studio has opened on Erie Boulevard in a building next to Wendy's.

Mary Clare O'Connor opened the studio, Yoga Bliss on the Boulevard, at 140 Erie Blvd. It will feature courses in gentle yoga, belly dance, yoga for men, Vinyasa Flow, rise and shine yoga, and a lunch hour flow class, among others.

"Yoga Bliss is dedicated under the guiding principles of love, grace and gratitude, and offers a space to choose and practice happiness," said O'Connor in a news release.

O'Connor studied philosophy, cosmology and consciousness at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and is certified in Kripalu yoga and dance.

The studio officially opened today, with free yoga classes and demonstrations after a lunchtime dedication. Sample yoga classes and demonstrations will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
