– “The Taming of the Shrew” at Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany — One of Shakespeare’s classic comedies. It should be a delight. Feb. 29 to March 23.

– “Heartbreak House” at Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall, Cambridge — If anyone can do Shaw wonderfully, it’s The Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall. They’ve already got “Saint Joan,” “Androcles and the Lion,” and “Pygmalion” under their belt. March 6 to 30.

– “General Desdemona” at Proctors 440 Upstairs, Schenectady — One of three new plays at Proctors 440 Upstairs, this one by Egan Reich. Military men in drag compete for the role of Desdemona. April 8 to 27.

– “Leading Ladies” at Curtain Call Theatre, Latham — The regional premiere at Curtain Call of a Ken Ludwig show about two down-on-their-luck actors in drag. May 30 to June 28.
