A crowd of children greeted Wiggles characters today at the Albany International Airport. The characters who will soon be making their new home at the Great Escape.

Wiggles music played as Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus danced and greeted about 100 parents and their children near the baggage claim area.

This spring, the Great Escape in Lake George will open Wiggles World, a themed children’s area based on the Wiggles, one of the most popular children’s entertainment groups in the world. The Wiggles themselves are Murray Cook, Anthony Field and Greg Page who started the group.

The Wiggles themselves were not at the airport, but are expected to perform at the park in 2008 at a date to be announced.
