A Mexican fast casual restaurant chain will soon open its first Capital Region location at the Clifton Park Center, adding to the list of dining franchises being lured to the area by malls.

As early as next week, BRV Inc. will open at the Clifton Park mall a Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina — one of six restaurants the Charlotte, N.C., company has opened or plans to open in New York.

Salsarita’s, which serves everything from burritos to margaritas, made its debut in 2000. BRV now has Salsarita’s in at least 18 states, mostly along the East Coast and in the Southwest.

Other newcomers that area malls have snagged include the Cheesecake Factory and P.F. Chang’s China Bistro at the Colonie Center, the Texas Roadhouse and Bonefish Grill at the Latham Circle Mall, plus The Melting Pot and The Standard at Crossgates.
