Union freshman goalie Corey Milan was named ECAC Hockey rookie of the week on Monday.
Milan made 32 saves and earned his first career shutout in Saturday’s 0-0 tie against Dartmouth. In Friday’s 3-2 loss against Harvard, Milan replaced starter Justin Mrazek to start the second period, and stopped 16 of 17 shots.
Milan is the second straight Dutchmen, and third in the last four weeks, to win rookie of the week. Forward Adam Presizniuk won it last week, and forward Stephane Boileau took the honor three weeks ago. The winner between Boileau and Presizniuk was RPI’s Chase Polacek.
