A 33-year-old New York City man accused of selling cocaine last summer was arrested Wednesday by city police on nine felony charges.

Erick N. Perez of Payson Avenue is charged with three counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance and six counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Capt. James Lorenzoni said Perez sold cocaine to an informant on three occasions last summer and then apparently left the area. He was arrested when he returned recently to the city, Lorenzoni said.

The charges were contained in a sealed indictment opened Wednesday in Fulton County Court.

Lorenzoni said Perez was a significant drug dealer who lived in various locations while he was in Gloversville.

Perez was arraigned in Fulton County Court and sent to the Fulton County jail without bail.
