One person is dead and at least one other person seriously injured in a head-on, two-vehicle accident about 4:15 p.m. Monday on Route 4 just north of Upper Newtown Road.
An emergency helicopter landed at the Halfmoon firehouse and one of the people injured in the accident was flown to Albany Medical Center.
State Police said one person was declared dead at the scene by a coroner. No other details were available from authorities.
