A Schenectady County jury late this afternoon returned guilty verdicts against Rebecca Polomaine, accused of shattering the skull of a 2-year-old girl, leaving her severely and permanently brain-damaged in March 2007.
Polomaine, 30, of Alexander Street, was found guilty of all three counts against her: first-degree assault, reckless assault of a child and reckless assault of a child by a daycare provider.
After the verdict was announced, Polomaine’s $75,000 bail was revoked. She faces up to 25 years in prison at her June 19 sentencing.
