Two people suffered non life-threatening injuries this afternoon in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Maple Avenue Extension and Midline Road, Montgomery County sheriff’s Sgt. Thomas Flickinger said.

The names of those involved in the accident were not immediately available at the scene.

Flickinger said the driver of a Crown Victoria headed west on Maple Avenue Extension failed to yield the right of way to a Dodge pickup truck heading north on Midline Road about 1:45 p.m.

Two passengers in the sedan were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for evaluation, while the driver of the pickup truck was uninjured, officials said at the scene.
