Do you ever wonder why the climate is getting warmer every year? Did you ever think that maybe we kids could help? We may not have the power to do big things, but there are some tiny things that we can do that will make a huge difference.
Next holiday season, try to think of some ways that you could reuse things. Wrap birthday presents in recycled comics and shop online to save the gas that your car would use to go to the mall. These little things will help a lot with global warming.
Global warming can harm plants and animals that live in the sea. The ice is melting in the Arctic and the Arctic animals don’t have anywhere to go. Global warming will soon melt enough ice in the Arctic that it will raise the sea level.
As a true penguin lover, and someone who has recently gone green herself, my cousin wants to help. “My dad always likes to pick a current issue, and going green has become a big movement. I like the outdoors, for one, and also, if we don’t take care of the world now, there’s not much we can do about it later.”
Global warming is a result of OUR human activities; that’s why I want to help. If we caused it, I want us to stop it. Think, what would our future be like if we don’t stop global warming? It would be warm in the winter, and blazing hot in the summer. Imagine winter without snow! Some scientists believe that global warming will keep getting worse if we don’t stop it.
Kids are the world’s future adults. Let your parents know that when we burn things, it pollutes the air.
Tell them that when we recycle and reuse things, we are helping to stop the destruction of global warming. Since our generation will hopefully be alive for the next 80 years or so, our environment is depending on our good decisions, starting today!
