Two teenagers have been charged with trying to rob a Union College student at knifepoint Wednesday night on the Union campus.
City police say Christopher Daley, 16, of Eastern Avenue, and an unnamed 15-year-old approached the 21-year-old student around 11 p.m., displayed a knife and demanded money. The student immediately ran to one of the college’s emergency kiosks and contacted college security, police said.
Daley and the 15-year-old, whose name is not being released because of his age, were nabbed a short time later at Foster Avenue and Lang Street, police said.
Each was charged with felony first-degree attempted robbery and were being held pending arraignment this morning, Daley in City Court and the 15-year-old in Schenectady County Family Court.
