An upscale Italian restaurant will occupy future space beside the new Hampton Inn & Suites on High Rock Avenue.
“Bellini’s at High Rock” will be slightly different from the five other Bellini’s Italian Eateries, including the ones in Clifton Park and Slingerlands.
It will feature upscale American grill cuisine — steaks, seafood and pasta — in its dining room, and have a separate bar and grill area, said Joseph Marrello, principal of the Marrello Management Group based in Albany.
Prices for entrees in the grill will range from $12 to $16 with those in the dining area priced between $28 and $35, Marrello said.
It is projected to open next year in the late spring or early summer.
“We look at it just as a great amenity,” said Matthew Bette, principal of Bette & Cring, developers of condominium units beside the new hotel. “The people that stay in the hotel, they’re going to want to go out and have dinner and not have to walk too far.”
The luxury condominiums are dubbed 38 High Rock. Condo dwellers will have access to the hotel’s amenities, such as housekeeping services, the pool and fitness center, through an interior corridor.
And developers hope the restaurant also will attract them as well as local residents and visitors.
“I think our Bellini’s brand fits the Saratoga lifestyle,” Marrello said.
The restaurant will have private dining areas and seat up to 200 people, he said. It also will offer takeout and catering to condo residents and the hotel.
The restaurant will occupy just less than half of the 15,000 square feet of retail space in the complex’s first and second floors.
Condominiums will make up the third through sixth floors, with parking for residents on the third floor.
The Hampton Inn is expected to open July 3, Bette said.
During a tour of the nearly-completed hotel Thursday, Michael Hoffman, president of Turf Hotels, management company for the hotel, pointed out the spacious suites, large front lobby and meeting areas.
The six-floor hotel will have 123 guest rooms. Fifteen rooms have balconies overlooking Saratoga.
There’s still work to do, including some of the interior work, finishing up the circular entrance and getting and occupancy certificate, Hoffman said.
“It’s a grueling task to get a hotel open.”
The 44 luxury condominium units are expected to open in 2009 at about the same time as the restaurant.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom units will be priced between $400,000 and $1.5 million.
