Schenectady liquor store robbed at gunpoint

Schenectady police are investigating the afternoon armed robbery of a liquor store.

City police are investigating the afternoon armed robbery of a liquor store.

Police said two men walked into Eastern Wine and Liquor on Eastern Avenue, near McClellan Street, and demanded cash just before 1 p.m. One brandished a black semi-automatic handgun, police said.

The men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, fleeing on foot, police said.

Police only had a vague description of the two, with one being a black man about 5-feet-2 and wearing a black T-shirt and black bandana and the being a white man, about 6 feet tall and wearing a T-shirt.
