A Moreau man was killed early this morning in a one-car accident on Route 197.
William Johnson, 34, was traveling east in his 2007 Saab about 12:55 a.m. when he lost control anhd crossed the center line, according to the Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies. His car then went into a ditch, struck an embankment and flipped over, ejecting Johnson, before the car caught fire, deputies said.
Johnson, the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene by Saratoga County Coroner Thomas Salvadore.
The accident remains under investigation, deputies said.
