Nick Ottati scored three touchdowns and passed for another Friday, helping Schenectady to a 34-7 high school football victory over LaSalle at Schenectady High School, giving the Patriots the Liberty Division title.
The Patriots improve to 6-0, which is a school record.
Ottati’s three TDs came in the first quarter, all on one-yard sneaks. The first two were set up when LaSalle running back Marquis Terrell, last year’s Liberty Division Player of the Year, fumbled twice on the Cadets’ first two series.
Another Terrell fumble on second-and-goal at the Schenectady one was recovered by the Patriots. Ottati drove them down the field, and hit Anthony Cooper with a 13-yard TD pass.
Schenectady running back Marc Thompson rushed for 107 yards in the first half.
