A former New York City mayor who rose to national fame after Sept. 11, 2001 will stump for congressional candidate Sandy Treadwell on Wednesday.
Rudy Giuliani will speak in Halfmoon and in Queensbury for the Republican candidate for the 20th Congressional District, and the public is invited to both free rallies.
Treadwell endorsed Giuliani in his primary campaign for president, and the two have known each other for some time, said Treadwell spokesman Peter Constantakes.
Giuliani will be at the West Crescent Fire District’s station at 1440 Crescent Road, Halfmoon, for a rally from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and another appearance at the West Glens Falls Fire District from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Treadwell heads into his final week challenging U.S. Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-Greenport.
