Former NHL star Fleury to speak to Union women’s hockey team

Former NHL star Theo Fleury will speak to the Union women’s hockey team this weekend.

Fleury, who played 16 years in the NHL and won a Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames in 1989, will spend time with the coaches, captains and the team before Sunday’s 2 p.m. contest against Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute. He will be around after the game for questions and autographs.

He had 455 goals and 633 assists during his career. He also played for Colorado, the New York Rangers and Chicago before playing in Europe.
