Village police allege an ongoing feud between neighbors led to one setting the other’s car on fire back in 2007.

Police said firefighters responded to 12 Ann St. for a report of a vehicle fire on March 12, 2007. The unidentified resident’s 1997 Ford Taurus was destroyed, and officials listed the case as undetermined.

According to police, new information was developed and police collected statements alleging William A. Sagatis Jr., 28, of 10 Ann St., used gasoline to start the fire.

Sagatis was charged Tuesday with third-degree arson, a felony. He was arraigned in Village Court and sent to the Montgomery County jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
