A Wilton teen who made headlines last summer when he interrupted a high school graduation ceremony by striding across the stage in a penis costume now is jailed on charges he stole a pickup truck.

Calvin Morett, 19, of 337 Pyramid Pines Estates, faces felony charges of robbery and criminal possession of stolen property.

City police arrested him at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday outside the police station. Morett allegedly was heard saying, “I just took that truck” about a black 2000 Dodge pickup, according to court papers.

He is in Saratoga County jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

The robbery charge was filed in Wilton Town Court where the vehicle was reported stolen Tuesday to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department, and the possession charge was filed in City Court.

Morett is the same man who pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after he paraded in an inflatable penis outfit across the stage at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in June during the Saratoga Springs High School class of 2008 graduation ceremony.

Morett, a 2007 graduate, ran onto the stage, sprayed the crowd with Silly String and ran off. A city police officer working security at the ceremony chased Morett, who tripped over part of his costume as he ran.

As part of his sentence in that case, he was ordered to write apology letters to the school district and the community for his antics.A video of the event was posted on the Internet site YouTube.
