Siena head coach Fran McCaffery and senior guard Kenny Hasbrouck earned the top individual awards in the MAAC at the annual conference tournament awards ceremony tonight, and as a bonus, sophomore Clarence Jackson won the Sixth Player Award.
McCaffery was named coach of the year after leading the Saints to a 23-7 overall and 16-2 MAAC record. He was the first Siena coach to win the award since Paul Hewitt in 1999-2000.
Hasbrouck, McCaffery’s first recruit when he came to Siena, won the player of the year out of a group that also included teammate Edwin Ubiles, Rider’s Ryan Thompson and Niagara’s Bilal Benn and Tyrone Lewis.
