Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested Daniel Day, 22, of 14A Kirby Road shortly after midnight in Milton after a live grenade was allegedly found Wednesday at a Saratoga Springs home.
Day was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Police said they found multiple weapons and a hand grenade when they responded to a report of a domestic disturbance about 5 a.m. Wednesday. When police arrived, Day was no longer at the scene.
The building was made safe and the New York State Police Bomb Squad responded. After a search warrant issued by Saratoga Springs City Court Judge Jeffrey Wait was obtained, the New York State Police Bomb Squad removed the grenade and determined that the device did contain some explosive material.
The victim of the original domestic disturbance call, who has not been publicly identified, was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from Saratoga Hospital.
