Alex Franklin scored 27 points, and reserve guard Kyle Griffin hit four big three-pointers in the first half to lift Siena to a 66-58 win over Manhattan at Draddy Gym this afternoon.
The Saints (10-0, 17-4) played without senior small forward Edwin Ubiles, a leading contender for MAAC player of the year, who was at the game and in street clothes after injuring his shoulder in Thursday’s win over Loyola.
Franklin made two free throws with 20.6 seconds left, and Ryan Rossiter made two with 13.7 seconds left to produce the final score.
