A flatbed tractor-trailer carrying a load of concrete forms crashed into a house in Delaware County today, killing a woman and injuring four other people.

State police say the truck ran off the road at a curve and hit the one-story home in the town of Davenport at about 5 a.m. Friday.

They say the impact dislodged the concrete forms, which flew into the house and killed 46-year-old Rhonda Hitchcock as she slept. Another woman and a 5-year-old child in the house suffered injuries that aren’t life-threatening. They were taken to local hospitals, as were 61-year-old truck driver Charles Harford of Binghamton and his passenger. Information on their injuries wasn’t immediately available.

Troopers say the investigation is continuing. Davenport is about 55 miles southwest of Albany
