A teenager is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy.

Nathan G. Langlois, 16, of 156 Northern Blvd., was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree obstructing governmental administration Saturday after police said he jumped on a deputy’s back and punched him in the back of the head.

Police said they were called to Langlois’ residence for a report of a fight between siblings. While there a 15-year-old juvenile became irate with the officers. An altercation began at which point Langlois assaulted the officers, police said.

Langlois was arraigned in the Town of Amsterdam Court and released on $2,000 bond. The juvenile was referred to Montgomery County Family Court.
