A boil-water advisory was issued this morning for residents using Fonda village water.
Village public works superintendent John Wiltey issued the notice this morning, asking people to boil water for one minute before drinking it.
Wiltey said the reservoir that serves as the village’s water supply is overflowing due to the rainfall and turbidity levels are rising. It could take a couple of days for the water to settle down, but it’s unclear exactly how long the boil-water advisory will remain in effect.
