There are many reasons to have school uniforms in public schools. School uniforms will help save parents money. It can help them save money because they have to buy the same outfit for every day, which means five outfits that are the same, and costing the same price. If you don’t have school uniforms, you could be buying 10-20 outfits that are all completely different, and that all cost different prices.
It can also save parents time. It saves them from having to go out and buy clothes because a uniform can be sent to you. Decisions don’t have to be made because you wear the same outfit every day. All kids have to do is grab their uniform and you don’t have to worry if it matches or if it doesn’t match.
The biggest thing for most kids is how they are treated because their clothes aren’t the same as everyone else. Some kids might get embarrassed or scared because the bullies or popular people might tease them because their clothes aren’t the same as their’s. Kids sometimes get judged more on their clothes than on their character. It should be based more on character than on clothes because a person is a lot more than just their clothes.
Lastly, I believe that public schools should have uniforms because people can wear baggy clothes to hide illegal objects. Uniforms can help save people from getting embarrassed or worse, hurt. Just by having everyone wear the same outfit there is a big difference in a student’s safety.
Recommend uniforms in your school. It’s better for students and parents, too.
