A 23-year-old Hadley man was killed late Tuesday afternoon when the motorcycle he was operating on the Old Corinth Road went out of control and hit a telephone pole.
Eric J. Olsen of 38 Adirondack Road was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said that Olsen was operating a Suzuki motorcycle south on Old Corinth Road when he attempted to pass a car in front of him but lost control of the motorcycle and it went off the road.
Police said the cause of the 5:45 p.m. accident was unsafe passing. There were no other injuries.
