Lane closures that started today are expected to affect traffic around the Latham Circle, the state Department of Transportation announced.
DOT’s bridge maintenance crews will close the left lane on Route 2 approaching the Latham Circle and the left lane on the southern portion of the Latham Circle, the agency said.
The lanes are expected to be closed for at least a week in order to complete bridge maintenance, according to DOT spokeswoman Carol Breen.
The lane closures are expected to cause traffic delays during peak morning and evening travel periods. Motorists are encouraged to consider alternate travel routes.
