Two morning fires in Schenectady damaged two homes, but no injuries were reported, fire officials said.
The first fire broke out just after 5 a.m. in a bedroom at 1038 Strong St.
Firefighters contained the blaze to the bedroom, but smoke and water damage extended to other parts of the home, Deputy Fire Chief Michael Gillespie said.
Residents were home at the time, Gillespie said. The number of people who lived there was not available.
The second fire broke out about two hours later, at 10 Princeton St., Gillespie said. That fire was reported on a couch in the residence, with firefighters quickly extinguishing it. No injuries were reported in that fire, Gillespie said.
