Authorities have removed a tractor-trailer that slid off a heavily traveled Saratoga Springs road, two days after it crashed and overturned at the beginning of the most recent storm to sock upstate.
The rig was towed out of the deep snow along the southbound lanes of Route 9 on Saratoga’s southern outskirts, where the truck crashed as the storm intensified late Sunday night.
Police say Monday’s severe weather prevented the state Department of Transportation from righting the rig.
The truck tipped over onto its right side against some trees along the road. The vehicle wasn’t blocking traffic.
Police say the truck was hauling paper products from Quad Graphics’ Saratoga plant.
Officials say DOT crews had to coordinate with a towing service to remove the truck today.
Police say the truck driver wasn’t injured.
