Chris Wagner scored the tying goal and set up Francois Bourdon’s go-ahead goal with 5:12 left in the third period, helping Colgate to a stunning 4-2 come-from-behind victory over Union to even the ECAC Hockey tournament best-of-three quarterfinal series at a game apiece.

Game 3 is Sunday night at 7.

Union took a 2-0 lead into the third on goals by Wayne Simpson in the first period, and Mat Bodie in the second.

Austin Mayer began Colgate’s comeback at 5:48 of the third, when his shot from the slot deflected off of a Union stick and fluttered over goalie Keith Kinkaid. Wagner tied it on the power play, tipping a Brian Day pass past Kinkaid.

Wagner intercepted a Union clearing attempt along the right-wing boards. He sent the puck in front to Bourdon, who put it past Kinkaid.

Brian Day sealed the win on an empty-net goal with 37.2 seconds left.

Tickets for Game 3 will go on sale at the Messa Rink box office at 2 p.m. There won’t be any online sales. For more information, call 388-6020.
