HOOSICK — A propane truck has burst into flames after it rolled over an embankment on Route 7 in the Rensselaer County town of Hoosick.
The Record of Troy reports that the truck driver was flown by helicopter to a hospital. His name and condition weren’t immediately released.
Hoosick Falls Police Chief Robert Ashe says the fire began after the Monday afternoon crash triggered small explosions. The flames spread from the truck to nearby woods.
Authorities have closed off Route 7 from Brunswick to Route 22 in Hoosick, about 28 miles northeast of Albany.
State Police are assisting the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department.
