Saratoga Springs native Ian Pickus will appear on the nationally syndicated television quiz program “Jeopardy!” on Friday.
Pickus, a producer at WAMC Northeast Public Radio, passed the annual 50-question online test on his fifth attempt and was invited to an in-person audition in Manhattan. The lifelong “Jeopardy!” fan traveled to California over the winter to film the show, according to a news release.
“One man in my audition group said it was his 14th try, so I feel quite lucky,” Pickus said in a statement today.
Pickus will write about his experiences on the show and will discuss them during Friday morning’s edition of “The Roundtable.” “Jeopardy!” airs on WTEN-TV in the Capital Region weeknights at 7:30 p.m.
