A village woman is facing charges after police allege she struck her four-year-old daughter during a dispute with a man.
Misty Dawn Souza, 21, of 15 1/2 Center St., was charged with second-degree harassment and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, according a release from the St. Johnsville Police Department.
Police in the release said the May 5 arrest followed a domestic dispute call.
Police allege their investigation revealed Souza accidentally struck her daughter while punching and slapping the man inside a vehicle.
The male victim is not identified in the release, and the conditions of those injured could not be learned immediately Monday. A call to the St. Johnsville Police Department automatically rolled over to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s department.
Souza was arraigned and released after posting bail, according to the release.
