The state Department of Transportation will officially open the new Route 9P bridge over the northern end of Saratoga Lake at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Commissioner Joan McDonald of DOT will be joined by regional DOT director Mary Ivey and local officials in cutting the ribbon. The old Route 9P bridge was removed after Labor Day in 2010 and a new, modern bridge built in its place. Traffic was detoured away from the construction site last fall, through the winter, and most of the spring.
