ELMONT — Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom drew the No. 9 post in a 12-horse field and was installed as the 2-1 morning-line favorite for the 143rd Belmont Stakes on Saturday.
Preakness winner Shackleford drew the No. 12 post and is the 9-2 third choice, after Derby runner-up Nehro (4-1), who skipped the Preakness.
