City police officer Jason Blowers was arrested Friday by Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies following an alleged domestic dispute at his Sprakers residence.
Deputies charged Blowers, 35, with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, class A misdemeanors, said Montgomery County Undersheriff Jeffery Smith.
Smith declined to comment on Blowers’ relation to the woman or what prompted the dispute, but said the alleged assault occurred Thursday night into Friday morning. The woman was treated at the hospital and then released.
Johnstown police and mayor could not be reached for immediate comment today.
Blowers was arraigned at Town of Glen court and released to appear at a later date, Smith said.
