Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 27-year-old Broadalbin man Monday for failing to report a change of address, violating a Level 2 sex offender requirement, according to a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office release.
After Anthony Cable, of 128 Hagadorn Mills Rd. Lot #4, did not report his address change within 10 days, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigators charged him with failure to report a change of address, which is a requirement for Level 2 sex offenders, or someone with moderate risk of repeat offense.
Level 2 and Level 3 sex offenders are required to be registered for life in New York state. Cable was convicted in 2005 for a second-degree criminal sexual act, a class D felony.
Cable was arraigned in the Town of Glen Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.
