A 29-year-old Albany man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 787 on Tuesday evening.
Joshua Reagan of Exchange Street was driving his 2002 Honda motorcycle south at a high rate of speed with two other motorcycles just before 9 p.m. when police said he appeared to lose control of the vehicle. Witnesses observed the motorcycle wobbling before it went down and ejected Reagan, causing him to strike the guard rail.
Reagan was transported initially to Albany Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Albany Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy will be performed on Thursday at Albany Medical Center. The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate but early indications are high speed and driver inexperience contributed to the crash.
