A man linked to the suspect in a large Ecstasy raid last year has been arrested, a prosecutor said.

Thomas Savino, 23, had been sought since a January indictment, but wasn’t located until recently in Glens Falls, prosecutor William Sanderson said. Savino faces four counts each of felony criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance.

He is accused of possessing and selling Ecstasy on four occasions in April 2010. On two of those occasions, Savino is accused of possessing and selling the drug with Matthew Blanding, Sanderson said.

Blanding, 25, formerly of Broadway, was arrested in a morning helicopter-aided raid at his apartment in May 2010. The raid uncovered a total of 189 round purple pills that tested positive as Ecstasy, according to papers filed in court then.

Blanding was also indicted in January on two counts each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. His case remains pending, Sanderson said.

Savino appeared Wednesday in Schenectady County Court, where his indictment was unsealed. He is to appear in court again next week to be formally arraigned.

He was arrested in Glens Falls by the U.S. Marshals Warrant Squad, with help from state police and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.

He remained in the Schenectady County Jail Thursday evening without bail.
