A 20-year-old woman was accused Monday of intentionally ramming her car into a car owned by her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend on Sunday.

Ashley L. Norris, of 17 Henry St., was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident, both misdemeanors, said Lt. Kurt Conroy of Amsterdam police.

No one was in the car, which was parked at 22 Union St., and no one was injured when Norris drove her Hyundai Elantra into the woman’s Chevrolet Cavalier.

“The victim saw her,” Conroy said. “The next day she turned herself in and the vehicle was photographed.”

Although Norris intentionally damaged the woman’s property, the estimated damage was barely more than $250, Conroy said, lowering the crime to the misdemeanor level.
