Schenectady officials are advising residents of the Stockade neighborhood, especially those who live on the dead-end streets that run from Front Street to the River, to remove their vehicles in preparation for the imminent flood.

Parking will be available in the Front Street pool lot, the First Presbyterian Church lot on Church Street and Front Street and the lot of the former Ramada Inn at Union College Park.

The flooding is expected to start during the overnight hours and will peak at an elevation of 229 feet at approximately 1 p.m. on Monday, according to police. Residents should be prepared to evacuate upon order and should be prepared to take their pets with them.
